Putting dementia on the map

Around 670,000 people in England live with dementia – a number which will double in the next 30 years. This map sets out what we currently know about dementia care, support and research across the country.

Memory clinics have become a crucial part of diagnosing and caring for people with dementia in the community. However, the wait for diagnosis or treatment at a memory clinic can vary from 1 week to 6 months. How long would you expect to wait? How effective is your local clinic at making a diagnosis? How does that compare with the overall level of dementia in your community?
